Matt and Nichole had been married for 12 years. They were a Christian couple.
Nichole had been very tired lately and had been having trouble with her job. The trouble was that her tasks at work just seemed to increase and grow to the point where it was now eating into other areas of her life.
Nichole felt like giving up.
One day, as her and her husband lay in bed; Nichole her husband know how she was feeling about her job. She was expecting him to console her or tell her that he feels sorry for her that she has really be working a lot and deserves sometime off. Instead, her husband told her to keep on going. He told her that what she should do now was to work harder and push herself even further. He said that she shouldn't work herself to burn - out point but she should approach work with a new attitude. She should look at it from a different perspective. She should look at it as fun no matter how tasking it is. She should look at it as one woman's little steps translating into giant steps to make the world a better place everyday. He told her to be more enthusiastic about her job.
Nichole didn't talk. As far as she was concerned he must be joking. He doesn't know what he is talking about. She simply said, "Good night" and fell asleep on his chest.
The next day, while at work things where getting too hectic. Task upon task upon task ate away at her.
Nichole felt like she has had it, she couldn't take it anymore. She made up her mind to just write a letter of resignation and just hand it in to her departmental manager. As Nichole was about to reach for a pen and paper she heard the voice of God telling her to stop.
God said, "Why don't you just do what your husband said you should do?"
Nichole wouldn't have listened, but since she had the fear of God; she decided to obey. She worked hard on her ever increasing tasks with enthusiam.
6 months later, she had worked so hard that she had impressed the over all person in charge of the company and all it's departments so much that he made her the new departmental manager of her department. She had now become Boss, only because she embraced work.
However, Nichole now had a new problem. Now that she was the Boss of her department she had many people who did all the work for her. What work would she do now?
Oh! Well, I guess its better to work yourself out of a job by becoming the Boss, than for you to buckle and fall under the pressure of work instead of standing up and pushing back against the pressure of work with even harder work; keeping productivity in mind.

Promotion from Upstairs or Downstairs

Melvin and Lynda where a lovely Christian couple. They loved God and were committed and faithful to God and to one another.
Melvin recently got promoted at work and he was moved to a different office in a different branch of the company which was in the same city.
Everything was fine, in fact things couldn't have been better. The only thing bad was that in his new office his new friends where wild and ungodly. Even though it was a prestigious job and one would think that it would require sophistication and therefore sophisticated people, Melvin had never heard so much cursing in his life.
All the men cursed like it wasn't a big deal. They gave all sorts of wrong advise and even though he had only been there a day, he saw all he needed to see to know that his female co-workers didn't mind doing anything to anybody they taught was cute.
Melvin began to wonder if this was a promotion or something else. Sure, his pay had increased and his working hours had decreased but the privilege of working in a morally sane environment had been taken away from him.
After his first day at his new office all he could say when his wife asked him about it was, "It was fine" and he quickly changed the topic.
The next day, as Melvin went back to work he found out the hard way that one of his female co-workers badly wanted to sleep with him. She not only wore a short skirt and unbuttoned her blouse way too much, but she also wore and did other things that made Melvin spend most of his morning praying to God.
The lady knew he was married but still she didn't care. He was not going to be his first and he was not going to be his last if he says Yes.
She believed that a modern woman should feel free to express herself intimately with everybody and anybody that she feels attracted to, and that she's only embracing her femininity by doing so and any woman who doesn't do so is simply old fashioned.
Melvin didn't see things that way. He believed that no matter how much someone tries to sugar coat it there would only be one name for a woman who feels it's alright to jump from one man's bed to the other man's bed like a decimal point which jumps over numbers at the multilication or division of any fraction of factors.
That day, Melvin also received a bunch of invitations for parties by his male colleagues who were married but clearly didn't seem to mind that the rings they are wearing on their fingers mean that they took certain vows.
Melvin stayed strong and faithful to his Christian principles but he didn't tell his wife what is going on at work. However, after a few months; Melvin began to comprise little by little. He would flirt back when flirted with. He would use dirty sarcasm in place of cursing. He would look at what certain things female co-workers wanted him to look at instead of looking away.
He was well on the track of change: he was CHANGING into his co-workers.
Melvin used to look forward to taking his wife out for something romantic every last Friday of the month. He would clear his schedule for it and make sure that he made it happen no matter what. He called it their Romantic Night Out. It was a time that he made her remember why she made the right choice by marrying him. It was a time for him to surprise her with a new outstanding romantic antic of his, but recently he had cancelled twice in a row. Melvin's wife, Lynda wondered what was going on. She started to pray about it. She started to pray about him.
Melvin had not cheated on his wife yet but he had started to go for those parties he was invited to. He even started to enjoy them. He would only sit in the corner and watch the girls dance but he didn't touch.
One late evening, while at one of such parties Melvin's wife calls him. He looked at her name on the caller ID and he ignores the call.
She dropped her phone from her ears and wondered what was going on.
Meanwhile, Melvin while at the party feels dirty and as guilty as ever. He thinks about his wife and all the things that they've been through together. A drop of tear falls from his eyes unto the cell phone he was still looking at.
Melvin stood up and left the party. He headed straight home.
While he was driving, his wife called him again. It was dark. His car was one of the few still running that road that night.
Melvin looked at the phone as it rang on the dashboard. He didn't have to lean over to look at the caller ID, he knew it was his wife. He let it ring. He ignored it as he drove back home.
When Melvin got home and his wife asked him what happened, where he was, and why he didn't pick up his phone he simply said that he was at work.
His wife asked him that if he was at work how did he get here so quickly, and Melvin says well that he meant to say that he was driving and he doesn't believe in answering phone calls when driving.
His wife wanted to ask another question but he interrupted her and said that he was tired and badly needed to sleep.
Lynda prayed to God throughout most of the night. She stormed heaven with her prayers.
The next day, everything seemed to be the same. Melvin still acted the way he'd been acting lately before he went to work. Even forgetting to tell his wife, "I love you" like he used to tell her every morning.
As soon as Melvin walked into his office that day, Melvin got ambushed by the female co-worker who had been trying to seduce him for months. Apparently, she couldn't hold herself anymore. She had grown tired of waiting.
She pushed Melvin to the corner and had his back pressed against the wall. As she moved in to kiss him, he lightly pushed her away and said; "Stop, I have a wife."
"So?" the carnal woman replied. "You know I care about you more than she does."
Just then, the loose screw in Melvin's brain tightened up.
"LIAR !!!", Melvin shouted as he pushed her away swiftly but gently enough so as not to hurt her.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"THIS WHOLE SET UP IS WRONG" he answered. "THIS WHOLE SET UP WAS SET UP BY THE FATHER OF LIES. THIS WHOLE THING IS A LIE. I WASN'T PROMOTED, I WAS DEMOTED. ANYTHING THAT TRIES TO DECREASE OR TAKE FROM MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY WIFE OR MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS A DEMOTION NOT A PROMOTION."
"What are you saying?" the carnal woman asked him.
"I'm saying, I QUIT !!!" Melvin shouted for everyone on his office floor to hear.
Melvin wrote his resignation letter, marched to the boss's office, gave it to the boss, walked out the building and waved good bye to the office building. He was going to look for a new job later. Even though he knew he was not likely to find an entry level position job for such a high level post in his field as the one he was leaving, he knew that he was going higher and not lower.
Melvin went back home to his wife and tells her everything. He begs for her forgiveness on one knee, with his heart not having a single drop of insincerity in it.
Lynda forgives him and makes him promise that he would never lie to her or keep what he is going through secret from her ever again.
Melvin promises her and then he said, "Are you free now for a double Romantic Night Out to make up for the ones I missed my Queen."
Lynda smiles and kisses him. Then she says, "You would also have to take me shopping if you want to make up for everything."
Melvin smiled. "Gladly my Love, Gladly!"

After 60 years

The atmosphere was full of life and celebration. The hotel reception room was full of friends, family, and church fellowship group members who had come to rejoice with Mark and Jane for their 60th wedding anniversary.
Mark and Jane's children and grand children were all over the place in that reception room. There was food everywhere and no alcohol anywhere as a party hosted by true Christians should be.
Everybody had been talking and chatting joyfully, it truly was a special day.
Mark stood up to get every one's attention. He gently hit the empty glass of lemonade in his hand repeatedly with the cutlery in his other hand, and watched all eyes turn to face him.
When he had gotten every ones attention, including the attention of his youngest grand kids who were having full running around and playing their own little game; Mark said that he has a poem written for his wife who has been with him for 60 years.
Mark normally didn't always stand up for long because of his age so he brought out a carefully folded but long piece of paper from his jacket's front pocket and then he sat down to read as the whole room was filled with silence.
He cleared his throat, and then he began:






"Before the first day I saw your face
I was like an explorer lost out at sea
Who the storm made its victim
It tossed me on an island with only trees
I was lonley and searching for someone
Each step only made me more lonesome
Not only was I lost, but I also had no one
No one who could understand me
Like the birds understand the trees
No one to share my world with
Who would share her world with me
No one I could laugh with
So deeply that my heart would sing
No one whose tears would be mine
No one I'ill hunger to make smile
Without you my life wasn't empty
Because I had Christ living in my heart
It was just lacking one great blessing
The place for you to fill in my heart
You alone could fill that space
It demanded to be filled or it won't seize to ache
The ache that bled was like a heart break
But unlike a heart break it beat with Hope with grace
Like a lemon that's bitter and sweat
Was each ache that sort your being
I didn't even know you name
Yet it was your name that kept me awake
I had no idea what your face looked like
But it was your face that never left my mind
Like a hunter groping through the woods
I searched for you cause I needed you
I had no picture for whom I looked
But I knew I would know you when I found you
It was like my eyes didn't need to see
I could keep them closed to rest in the breeze
It was my heart that was the thing that was leading me
It was the eyes of my heart
That led me down your street
It wasn't instincts, No! it wasn't it
It wasn't a compass either, I guarantee this
It was something in you
Something about you
That pulled my heart along with me
To fall in love at your feet
That first day I say your face
I remember it like it was only yesterday
I knew that God had brought you my way
I knew that it was fate
Fate smiled upon me that day
Even more than it was fate
I know for a fact today
That is was a divine appointment
A divine meeting I'd say
That I stumbled and fell that day at your feet
While the other boys laughed away
I have never been shy with girls
But you changed that that day
I still remember your little chuckle
And then you did something that made my day
You offered to help me stand up
You didn't just chuckle and walk away
Even the feel of your touch took the hurt away
And then you told me your pretty name
And as soon as I heard that name
Fireworks began to shoot in every part of my brain
I knew that that was the name
The name I didn't know but prayed
Every single day, would come my way
And there you were, the answer for which I prayed
Days later, we both went on our first date
That date marks a genesis on the calendar of my days
Through out our courtship days
Everyday was a new day
I brushed my teeth more times than I used to
And used my "reserved for special occasions" cologne too
But of a truth, everyday is a special occasion with you
I ironed my suit three times
So I would look Sharp and Smooth
I gelled my hair with such style
My hair style became both young and old
I made sure it was so cool it was all of the above
If there was shoe polish for teeth
I would have waxed my teeth
So when I smile at you
It would be like a touch light is looking at you
Our courtship days?
Oh! each day was truly a new day
And with each passing day
I was convinced I needed you everyday
You were like me, faithful and true
Faithful to God like he's faithful to you
We honored the 6th commandment
And it made us happier too
There is no doubt
That that helped us bloom
I still remember well when I proposed to you
You held your hands over your mouth
You said, "Oh - My - Gosh"
I was holding my breath
And my heart ran a marathon
The suspense was suffocating
I felt I was at the door of a dungeon
But beside that door was the door of sweet paradise
As you said Yes I was thrust into paradise
I know you remember I jumped up and down
And ran all across the street
But what you don't know is that
My heart was doing front - flips and back - flips
After all the planning and arrangements
There was call for war
Another one of those wars that they call
A predecessor of peace
This evil thing called war
Was trying to separate you from me
They forced me to get drafted
But I said I don't want to kill
They forced me to join anyway
And said, "We can put your medical training to good use
You can treat wounded soldiers
And they would be more than you think they would"
And thus, I went to war
And my marriage went on hold
There was not a day I thought not of you
And dreamed I would return alive for you
You could have easily walked away
But you waited for me every single day
You prayed for me both night & day
I'm pretty convinced it was you that kept me safe
When I returned we planned our wedding again
And then we got married that very month
You gave us our first child, the following year
The doctor said he would not walk
But once again my Queen you prayed
He walked when he came of age
Like was the doctor said was never said
You have been strong when I have been weak
On the inside you are stronger than me
With every new challenge that we faced
I'm glad that it was with you that I prayed
As time went on, other kids came
They came with joy and They came with pain
But once again being Super as you are
You came through and kept everything in place
If it wasn't for you and your Faith
Mixed with your Love that shone everyday
This family would be today
Scattered in graves all around the state
With your strength we trained our kids well
Now they in turn have trained their kids well
Training them in they way that they should go
So they would not turn and rust when they grow old
I boldly say to you today
If I was given a second chance to live my life again
I would go back to the very first day I met you
And I would fall in love all over again"






After Mark finished his beautiful poem, some of his daughters and grand daughters where crying; while his sons and grandsons pretended like they didn't feel like crying. Everybody was moved and everybody was clapping.
Suddenly, everyone heard a scream from one of Mark's little Grand daughters.
"IT'S GRANDMA. GRANDMA IS DEAD."
Then everyone turned and looked at their mother and Grand mother. The room went cold with fear. She was sitting motionless in her chair. What a time to die. How could she die now?
Mark lost his footing as he almost fell down and fainted.
His son sitting closest to him caught him just in time. Mark was still conscious. He held his hand over his heart but you could hear his heart beat from half way across the room.
Some of the ladies in the room had started to cry but then they heard a sound.
They listened carefully.
It was the sound of Grandma snoring. She wasn't dead she was only asleep. She had fallen asleep towards the end of the really long poem.
Well, she was old; the precious angel. You can't blame her.
Mark breathed a sigh of relief. His heart - beat started returning to normal. Thank God she wasn't dead.
Mark looked over the table at her while she slept. She still looked like the beautiful princess that he met and fell in love with.
Mark walked around the table to where his wife sat.
He kissed he on her fore - head as she slept and said, "SLEEP TIGHT MY BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS. WHEN YOU WAKE UP, IT WOULD BE YET ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY OF LOVE FOR YOU AND ME AGAIN."

Llyod and Jessica where a nice Christian couple. They had just newly given their hearts Christ a few days ago and so they still had a great deal to learn.
Llyod however, had a problem that greatly disturbed his wife. The problem was that Llyod was selfish and often times he didn't consider how his wife felt before he did things.
Jessica kept criticizing Llyod about it but Llyod kept saying it wasn't true, that he wasn't selfish.
The more Jessica spoke, the more Llyod got pissed off and therefore acted even more inconsiderate of his wife's feelings.
This went on to the point where they began to look like that couple that is just a week away from getting a divorce.
Jessica didn't know what to do. She got on her knees and prayed to God for help.
While praying she felt like if God was telling her to get more active in the church. She wondered how that would help but she decided to do it anyway.
Jessica joined one of the women's groups in her church and she became really close to some of the women in the group. They started coming to her house and she started going to theirs. She became real friends with them and one day she told them about the problem that she was having with Llyod, her husband.
They told her that she is approaching the problem wrongly, that she should not just point out his flaw and leave at that but instead she should point out all the great stuff about him that she likes and then also tell him that he would be much better if he would change in these other areas; and then she can point out the areas in which she wants him to change.
Jessica didn't quite know about the idea, but she decided to give it a go. From that day onwards she started pointing out the good things she loved about her husband and telling him the areas that if he improved in he would truly become more incredible.
Llyod started warming up to Jessica and a new life swept into their marriage. Soon, like a wife asks her husband if a dress looks good on her or if she should change it; Llyod started coming to his wife to ask for which attitude adjustments he should make and what she thinks about certain things he thinks or plans to do.
Jessica was very happy about what God had done in her marriage through her new church friends.
She now knew that the problem was not just her husband changing, but she too needed to change by getting to know and also use the right way to bring out the best in her spouse instead of criticizing her spouse.
Criticizing your spouse often gets you nowhere but to the divorce office. Aim to bring out the best in your spouse instead of reminding your spouse of their flaws and only talking about the worst in your spouse.

Cody and Samantha where both public figures. They were both big stars in Hollywood and had met long before their Hollywood careers began. Even though they were not Christians for some miracluous reason they had been together for five years since they started dating which was a miracle in Hollywood circles. There was a few moments of promiscuity here and there but the key thing was that neither one knew of the others promiscuity so they both taught the other was 100% faithful. Technically, they were still together because each one kept their own indiscreations secret.
Cody and Samantha soon got married and it became a big Hollywood event. Everybody in the media was raving and talking about it. Their collegues talked in front of cameras about how perfect for each other they were, and a famous TV celebrity psychologist predicted there marriage would last forever.
After there marriage, things went smoothly until one morning Samantha picked up a new copy of a magazine she subscribed to and saw a picture of her husband kissing another woman in a hotel room on the front cover. What she had feared had come upon her. A part of her hoped the picture was photoshopped but as she called him, threw the magazine at him and started shouting at him; even though he said that it was photoshopped she could see he was lying from the look in his eyes. She had known him long enough to know when he was lying.
She was mad and she threw things at him, she called him all sorts of names and they spend a lot of time with her trying to get upstairs to back her bags while he kept blocking her way and kneeing down: begging her to not leave her with amplified sincerity. He knelt down so much and begged so much that she began to be confused become unable to tell whether he was sorry he cheated on her or he was sorry he got caught. Well, if he was faking it; then he deserved an Oscar more than every other actor in the world.
Anyway, all Samantha could think of right now was to leave the cheat. She picked up the magazine and showed him the picture, "How can you say this is photoshopped. This is you. This is you cheating on me."
Samantha flung the magazine to the ground as she cried and continued raining curses down on him. Then she noticed something was different. Even though her husband was standing in front of her, he was no longer listening to her. It was as if he was no longer even hearing her. Something had caught his eye.
Samantha followed her husband's line of vision and saw that the magazine she had thrown on the ground now had it's back page facing up.
Cody slowly bent down to pick it up. The whole house was silent now, you could hear a pin drop.
Was he seeing what he was seeing?
Yes, he was. His eyes weren't playing tricks on him.
Cody could hardly believe it. What was he staring at? It was a picture of his wife cheating on him with a very popular actor in a five star hotel room.
What the magazine publishers had done was to put a picture of Cody cheating on Samantha on the front cover, and then put a picture of Samantha cheating on Cody on the back cover. So if you open up the magazine and look behind at the covers, you would see the two pictures lined up side by side for comparison and perhaps irony.
Then, inside the magazine the magazine was whatever speculation the magazine editors had to explain those two pictures as their feature story.
"YOU HYPOCRITE!" Cody shouted as he gave the magazine to her so that she can look at it properly. Now it was her turn to beg.
Samantha started begging and kneeing down and telling him that it was an accident.
Cody shouted, "SO YOU HAVE BEEN CHEATING ON ME THE SAME WAY THAT I HAVE BEEN CHEATING ON YOU!"
He no longer saw the need of lying that the picture of him was photoshopped.
Samantha cried and begged while Cody rained abuses on her. Cody was bold now. He talked and talked and talked as his wife begged and begged and begged.
Cody soon started shouting at his wife to pack her bags and leave her house.
Samantha started begging him that please she wanted to stay but he wouldn't listen. He told her to pack her bags.
As Samantha touched him as she begged him while she knelt on the floor, Cody got so annoyed that he pushed her to the floor and she hurt herself. The room fell silent all of a sudden. Samantha had stopped begging.
Like if the blow had knocked something into her or out of her, Samantha stood up slowly.
She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, and then she spat on his face. "You low life cheat." After all, he did cheat on her too.
Cody paused. He couldn't keep shouting and he didn't know if he should start begging again. He had forgotten that he is just as guilty as she is.
"I'm leaving. I want a divorce." Samantha said as she headed towards the stair to go and pack her bags.
Cody felt numb, "but ... but" He didn't know what to say but he knew he wanted her to stay.
Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door. Cody looked at the door and he was surprised to see not only his parents but her parents also. They must have seen the magazine before them and had started heading to their house as quickly as they could.
For four parents where welcomed into the house and Cody and Samantha sat down in the living room with their parents.
After what turned into 4 hours of talking, Cody and Samantha decided to take their parents counsel and stay together but go for counseling.
Their parents weren't Christians but they choose a Christian counsellor. I guess they were only looking for the most effective guy.
After 6 months of Christian counseling, Cody and Samantha were crazy about each other. They were born again believers in Jesus and they had Christ at the center of everything they did.
Soon, their rebirth in Christ became public news and Cody and Samantha became Christian TV guest faces on a lot of Christian shows.
They got criticized for becoming Christians by secular media were they were from and where often the subject of riddle or at least got one insulting remark targeted at them in TV talk shows, cartoons, and comic strips. However, Cody and Samantha now had good new Christian friends; some of whom came from the show biz world. They held each other up and helped Cody and Samantha keep their head up all through the persecution.
The persecution only got worse and as always when a celebrity is ridiculed for becoming a Christian, the public writes of the ridicule as just harmless jokes. They forget that if someone spoke that way about their personal life, their personal choices and their beliefs they wouldn't take it sitting down.
Cody and Samantha's old friends stopped calling and visiting them. Those that called, called them only to as the said "Talk some sense into them."
Then the media begins to pressure them about giving to Africa and that they should give more especially as they are Christians.
This new frenzy about giving started when the two top richest men in the world appeared on billboards written that they can be good without God; it also stipulated how much money in figures they had given to Africa and other charities.
The media felt that this was a good area to attack Cody and Samantha in. After all the felt they needed God to be good, so why don't they top that.
The matter got so serious that Cody and Samantha started getting letters and e - mails from every angle, telling them that they should give.
The pressure was much and Cody and Samantha decided to take a trip to Africa.
They finally had some peace from the celebrity - crazed media, and actually had some time by themselves to relax and mediate on the word.
While they were in Africa, they actually had time to mingle with Africans and they discovered that many of the people that the trucks from America brought food to where any the same people that the trucks found when they returned with food for starving Africans months later because many of them where dead.
Cody and Samantha looked at the matter with the wisdom of God. They began to realize that what Africa needed wasn't for Americans to be bringing them food all the time. The solution was not in African being a financial liability to America and a charity case to America and the rest of the world for all of existence. Africa's solution was not in opening their mouths and being spoon fed by America and the rest of the world for the rest of their lives.
But the question now that Cody and Samantha had made this awesome discovery was; What is the solution for Africa?
Cody and Samantha spend them praying and shuttling across Africa, not giving any one a dime for food but observing everything they saw.
Cody and Samantha prayed and God continued to give them more ideas and open there eyes to see things from perspectives that other people didn't see. Until one night, while Cody and Samantha sat together in a tent sharing ideas and talking about their observation; the hit an epiphany. They finally discovered what the solution for Africa is.
But it wasn't long before the celebrity - crazed media found out that they were in Africa and followed them there. As they came out of their tents the very next day they saw news reporters in safari jeeps coming their way with their cameras already recording.
Cody and Samantha packed up their camping materials, they said no comment and ignored the reporters as the rode on carmels back to a hotel that they had stayed in.
Cody and Samantha already had had some meetings with the Minister of foreign affairs of the country so they called him, and he was kind enough to come himself with the police to keep the reporters at bay.
Cody and Samantha barely had any peace that day, and the very next day a special group of reporters who don't normally get turned down because it's is not in anybody's best interest to do so; came to interview Cody and Samantha.
Cody and Samantha figured they should agree.
In the middle of the interview, the key reporter said that based on what he has looked into in America, if Cody and Samantha give as little as one million dollars to charity they would be nominees for the prestigious humanitarian award.
Cody and Samantha looked at each other, then looked back at the key reporter and said, "No! thanks"
The key reporter couldn't believe his ears. "What ... did you say"
"No! thanks" they echoed simultaneously.
"Are going to give anything at all" the key reporter asked, sitting on the edge of his seat.
Samantha smiled and said, "Not a dime."
"Do you realize how what you said could ruin your careers", the key reporter asked.
"Our careers are in God's hands", Cody said.
"We are only doing what's best for Africa", Samantha added. "No existing charity organization in America does what is best for Africa so there isn't even an organization to give to"
"YOU TWO HAVE LOST YOUR MINDS", the key reporter interrupted then he packed his things together and got up to leave with his crew.
"Wait! don't you want to hear everything", Samantha asked.
"No! Thank You", the key reporter said as he walked out the door.
Cody and Samantha prayed and praised God that day. The next day they went to the Minister of foreign affairs and told him that they would like to call together an in-house press conference, that they want the local media and all the other media stations that reach the rest of Africa there.
3 weeks later it was done. Cody and Samantha stood in front of all of Africa through the media.
They told Africa what God had revealed to them was the solution of Africa. They told them that what Africa needs isn't food from America. Matter of fact, Africa already has more food than America; they just need to till the ground to bring it out.
Cody and Samantha told Africa that what they need is Jesus, wisdom and love. If Africa had these three things they would have all they need and would become a great continent that undoubtably their nations would become the strongest economy in the world.
Cody and Samantha told Africa who Jesus is and what he has come to do in their lives. Then they spoke about wisdom and how it is a very key factor for the development of Africa. They told Africans that instead of asking or collecting food from America and other countries that they should ask for books from these countries and ask for them to come into Africa and build schools and Universities for Africans in Africa but it should have the same standard and equipments as Harvard, Stanford or Yale. If Africa has the same standard of education that America has, then Africa would have the secret that makes America great and Africa would now be just as powerful or even more powerful than America.
Cody and Samantha told Africa that if they hunger for wisdom and not American food, that they would have the wisdom to produce food, technological gadgets and other wonderful things that would make America and the rest of the world rush to them with money to pay for because they wouldn't have a choice.
Lastly, Cody and Samantha explained the meaning of love and how love is God. They also told Africa that if they had love they would work to help one another, and stop killing one another because of tribal and religious conflicts.
Cody and Samantha spoke about love in a way that Africa had never heard about.
Tears began to fall from faces all across Africa.
Cody and Samantha told Africa that they loved them and they truly did.
They gave an altar call and led billions of Africans to Christ who were watching on TV, listening through the radio , or streaming it through African websites.
Cody and Samantha then announced as a new beginning for Africa they would be giving 5 million dollars to Africa from their own pocket.
Everybody started clapping.
Cody and Samantha wiped the tears from their own eyes and said that 3 million of the money would go to building new businesses for Africans which would belong to the Africans 100%, and the remaining 2 million would be spent on building Secondary schools across Africa; as far as the 2 million can go.
Cody and Samantha thanked everyone, they took a bow, and then stepped off the stage.
10 years later, Africa didn't look the same. African's had regretted generous donations of food from America and other nations and told them that they now only accept donations of free books.
Africa soon became known as, "The Continent That Reads", and it was no longer known as, "The Dark Continent."
Africa was producing more and more goods daily, and now was among one of the top exporters in history.
You could hardly find anyone hungry in Africa because people now walked in love and where quick to help each other.
And on the spot on which Cody and Samantha gave their speech, stood a giant statue of them bigger than the statue of Liberty. At the base of it, it was written: "CODY AND SAMANTHA - THE COUPLE THAT LOVED & SAVED AFRICA."

Jackson and Simon had been friends for a long time. Jackson was married to a beautiful lady named Christina, but Simon wasn't married.
None of the above where Christians. All of the above where atheists.
One day, Simon said that he had been appointed chairman of the chapter of the group of atheists that he belonged to and he had been given the responsibility of putting up billboards that read, "You can be good without God" around the city.
Simon asked his best friend Jackson to help him.
Jackson asked him that isn't that going to cost a lot of money. The only thing it would do is annoy Christians and wouldn't it be better that they spent the money helping the poor or building orphanages for dying children?
Jackson added that if they were putting up billboards to advertise atheist awareness conferences or something it would have been justifiable. But when you put a one - liner that is a conflicting message that clearly disses a group of people, you are only looking for trouble and not trying to help anybody.
Simon was mad and asked Jackson whose side he was on. Besides has he forgotten the story he told him of when he was a little boy and he was an altar boy for a Priest he trusted who ended up molesting him?
Jackson wanted to reply and ask Simon how he can hold the entire catholic church responsible for the acts of only one catholic Priest who did what he did in secret and would have been obviously punished by the catholic church and also expelled from the Priesthood like everybody knows is what happens to Priest who do shameful things that get out in the public.
There is also the question of how one catholic church's Priest's actions could be used to condemn the numerous and even growing number of other denominations which have nothing to do with the catholic church?
Jackson wanted to ask his friend these questions but he taught it smart to keep quiet so as not to step on any toes.
Eventually, Jackson agreed to join Simon in his plan even though Simon saw the hesitation in Jackson's body language at first.
After the first three billboards went up, the Christian community was outraged.
Simon, Jackson and their group started to receive a lot of criticism in their area.
The heat was on but their group thrived on controversy.
Jackson wasn't so thrilled with the controversy from the bottom of his heart but his wife, Christina supported him. She even began to get involved and she followed him to TV talk shows and web based interview shows all across America.
During one of such voyages, Jackson's wife gets abused when she is alone. His wife sues, wins a lot of cash, and also swears an allegiance of hated towards Christians.
Christina started her own web comment war against Christians online. She would google the words, "You can be good without God." She would go to the sites that show up in the search and check if there are any comments or articles that didn't agree with atheism. When she found them she would lash out and start typing comments that always started with, "How dare you ....? " or "You ignorant ..." or "I can't believe how dumb you are ..."
A few day's later, Christina's Mum gets sick and she had to travel alone to her city and sit at her bedside. The doctor gave Christina the bad news that her Mum would never recover and that her Mum would die in a matter of days.
Meanwhile, Christina's husband; Jackson was touring the country. He was having fun making money from the new demographic of people who believe that Christianity should be destroyed because it is archaic and the source of all the problems in the world so rather than give to the poor and the needy, the give to organizations that aim to destroy Christianity and other people's belief systems.
Jackson's friend, Simon; tells Jackson that he would be shuttling to Africa to promote atheism by pasting billboards there. He asked Jackson to come with him but Jackson's wife called him to come to the hospital her mother was in immediately.
Jackson told her that he can't but she starts crying over the phone and so Jackson said that he would be there.
Jackson told his friend that he can't follow him to Africa because he has to be at the hospital his wife's mum is in to support his wife.
Simon was disappointed. He asked Jackson if there is no way that he can talk his way out of it .
Jackson said, No! I'm sorry. He shakes Simon's hand, wishes him all the best in Africa, and then he turns and goes.
Simon gets on a plane while Jackson gets into a car and starts driving since there were no planes going to the city his wife was in.
Jackson prepared for the worst. He suspected that his wife's mum had died and now his wife is having a nervous breakdown and therefore needed him to be by her side. He could remember how it felt when he lost his Dad. Oh! It was a terrible thing.
Hours later; while Jackson was still driving, the plane that Simon was in finally enters African airspace.
A Christian group had already stationed themselves at the Airport to protest with writtings on cardboards and other things of the sort. However, a more angry group of Africans who weren't Christians but where a militant group that were very angry that Americans who are so rich in their country are coming to Africa to spend millions on billboard space while millions of Africans are dying of poverty, took a terrorist approach and they used a powerful but mobile weapon to fire a missile at the plane; destroying it over the desert before it even had the chance to near the Airport and touch African soil.
Meanwhile in America, Jackson who didn't know his friend was no more; finally arrived at the hospital and as he started to open the door of his wife's mum's hospital room he overheard someone say, "In all my years of medical practice, I've never seen a miracle like this."
As Jackson fully opened the door and stepped in, all eyes turned to him. Jackson saw a doctor standing at a corner near the bed talking to a man holding a big fat bible who was obviously a preacher.
Jackson saw that his wife's mum was not on the hospital bed but was on her knees with her hands up waving them to the heavens, and his wife; Christina sat on a chair with tears flowing down her eyes.
Looking straight at Jackson; Christina said, "I AM NOW A CHRISTIAN. JESUS HEALED MY MOTHER AFTER THIS PREACHER PRAYED FOR HER. JESUS IS GOD AND JESUS IS GOOD."

In the city of Living - Spring, a Pastor named Pastor Jones sat in front of his computer at home. He was looking at the number of page views of his ministry's website and it really wasn't encouraging. He was 65 years old and he had read and learnt a lot about the internet and this whole new cyber world than even the average teen whose generation the technology belonged to.
Pastor Jones was married to the beautiful and wise Pastor Juliet. They had been married for 35 years and so their love burned stronger than strong and had been burning too long to ever go off.
They both loved each other with all their hearts and in all their years together neither one had ever considering having an affair. Not because they are stronger Christians than everybody else but because they always spent enough time fellowshipping with the word of God daily. So the very mindset that God wants us to have had been so mingled with their minds that they had been transformed by the renewing of their minds. And on another note, why would either of them look anywhere else for sensual pleasure when they both knew that the ring on their finger was a testimony of the true jewel they had at home? No man or woman who has a most delicious meal on their plate in their bedroom would go outside to the garbage - can to look for crumbs of bread to eat.
Anybody who said that Pastor Jones and Pastor Juliet weren't enjoying their marriage to the max because they were married didn't have a clue. Such people also don't have a clue that when you are in Christ, he blesses you in every area of your life and in everything that concerns you past the max level, because our God is a God of super abundance. He is a God of blessing to over - flowing. He is a God of excess.
Anybody who thinks that a marriage without Christ can be more blissful than a marriage with Christ doesn't have a clue.
Anyway, Pastor Jones faced a problem and it definitely had nothing to do with his blissful marriage. The problem was that his congregation wasn't growing even though it wasn't decreasing either.
Pastor Jones had done everything Pastorally possible to grow his congregation but nothing was working.
He had done everything he had learnt many years ago in ministerial school and had even read new books on how a Pastor can reach out to more people in his community in new ways like using the internet, yet he was not growing even though the population of the city was growing. He didn't have mega Pastor money so he couldn't afford to pay mega money for air time on regular TV channels much less the really big Christian ones.
Pastor Jones and Pastor Juliet had 3 teenage kids. One girl and two boys. They were all devout Christians.
Pastor Jones' teenage daughter told him to start doing a video podcast where he can preach the gospel from his home using any device that has a camera and post it online for people to see. She told him that a lot of people spend more time online than they spend doing anything else.
Pastor Jones agreed with what his daughter said. At first he wanted to just make webcam videos and post them across his ministry's website as well as all the video sites that are popular that his ministry has a profile on, but as Pastor Jones saw that many people were doing that; he felt that he should do something a little extra so Pastor Jones spent a lot of time in Prayer about it.
A few days later, Pastor Jones was trying to now take the ideas that God had put in his head and bring them into reality.
The original idea that God had given him developed into the, "STRAIGHT FROM A MINSTER'S HOME" video podcast.
Unlike buying TV air it would cost him nothing, and what's more he wouldn't have to tell the rest of the Pastoral board of his church to get their approval even though he was just going to inform them for their prayers and out of courtesy.
The idea was to have a 30 minutes program that would introduce the world to their family. Although on the surface it had the feel of a reality show about a Pastor and his family it really wasn't about that.
The show was to have a personal homemade video feel. It was to have every member of his family talk about how they spent their day and the lessons they had learnt through the day. It was kinda like a video diary of every member of his Christian family sharing everyday challenges and everyday victories that they encountered everyday in today's world; in their real lives as they each went through their personal journey with God. They didn't have to share everything that happened in their day but certainly there is at least one thing that happens in everybody's day that everybody in the world can learn from even though it maybe a lesson that some have heard before. They were encouraged to add footage from their mobile phones to help people also see what they were talking about if they happened to record that particular thing they were talking about when it happened, using their mobile phone. It didn't matter if the footage was shaky or poorly shot. It would only make it look more realistic.
The whole think was to be edited and mixed together into a 15 minutes video and the remaining 15 minutes will comprise of Pastor Jones and Pastor Juliet sitting or standing together at any part of their house and talking about their day, quickly airing their views on the lessons to learn from what went on in their kids lives thereby approving, correcting and adding more to the lessons that their kids said they learnt. Then from all the information gathered through out the mixture of all their video diaries; Pastor Jones and Pastor Juliet would preach a sermon together until what's left of the 30 minutes is up. Then at the end of the video there would be a text scrolling prayer of salvation on the screen, followed by the address of the church they Pastor.
When the idea developed to this stage Pastor Jones told his wife about it and she was totally excited about it. She jumped up and down about it, then she hugged him: her big teddy bear.
Pastor Jones called his two sons plus his teenage daughter who had told him to post videos online and he told them about what he was planning. His daughter was surprised that the idea had turned into all the things that her Dad was now planning to do but she loved it and her brothers loved it too. They even began to come up with ideas of how cool and awesome they would make their own video diary portion of the 30 minutes video look.
Pastor Juliet said that they should feel free to be flexible but they should remember that it is not acting. They shouldn't put up an imagine that is not an accurate representation of themselves. It wasn't entertainment they were doing even though it might look like it to some. It was ministry that they were doing. What they were going to do was going to reach out to people on a special, personal and Real level that was going to heal hurts that might have been hurting for ages in different people in different parts of the world.
The whole family took the whole project seriously and they soon had the, "STRAIGHT FROM A MINSTER'S HOME" video podcast; live and kicking on the internet.
The did it daily and with a lot of enthusiasm. However, a few days later they realized that they had only gathered 10 views after 3 days of work. It was very discouraging giving the amount of time they put into it. However, Pastor Jones told himself that it is a gradual process that over time it would improve.
2 weeks later, all the previous videos plus the new videos had only gathered 12 views.
Pastor Jones was utterly downcast and the rest of their family began to get discouraged.
Soon, even though they were supposed to do the video podcast daily they were now doing it at odd frequencies. Sometimes 2 times a week, sometimes 3 times a week and some weeks they would even skip it then all of a sudden come back with like 3 videos for 3 successive days to talk about all that had happened since.
The kids even lost their enthusiasm to get their video diaries done. You could see that they even spoke with a lot less devotion in the videos.
The "STRAIGHT FROM A MINSTER'S HOME" video podcasts soon became more of a casual tradition in their home more than anything else.
Pastor Jones and Pastor Juliet's congregation still remained at the size it did since they started making the videos. But the population of the city kept increasing.
Pastor Jones went back on his knees to pray for an idea to make his church grow. He prayed and prayed and prayed and it seemed like he wasn't getting any answer from God.
Interestingly; the day after that, his congregation started to decrease.
Pastor Jones began to worry and pray about what was happening to his congregation and things escalated when the Pastoral board had a meeting about it.
After the meeting, a member of the Pastoral board paid him a visit at home and said that he didn't want to say anything at the meeting but they are talking behind the scenes about relocating him and his family to another branch of the church in another city.
Pastor Jones thanked the member of the board for telling him what was really going on. Then as soon as he left, Pastor Jones went into his room, got on his knees and started crying. He was a grown man, but sometimes grown men cry too.
Pastor Jones cried in secret. He didn't know if he would tell his wife what that one member of the board had just told him. Whatever would he do? It had been long since he had been posted here, he can't just tell his family that they should back their bags and leave for another city. They had already made their homes here. This city meant a lot to them.
How would his kids take it? They loved his city. They had built their lives in this city.
Pastor Jones taught about the video diaries that his children made. The reels of all the people they came in contact with, all the people whose lives they've touched, all the people who has in turn touched their lives and all the lessons that they had learnt along the way; brought even more tears to his eyes. Those video diaries of his kids where now more precious to him than ever before.
Suddenly, God dropped a thought in his head. God gave him the idea of doing a video diary of what he was going through and feeling right then and there, and then he should add it to the next "STRAIGHT FROM A MINSTER'S HOME" video podcast.
Pastor Jones did it. After he did it, God started pouring more thoughts and instructions into his head.
God revealed to him that he should regain his enthusiasm for the podcast because he should know that any God given idea that God says would produce a certain result would produce that result whether anyone likes it or not. Just like God's word does not fall to the ground without accomplishing what God has sent it forth to produce, in the same way; a God given idea does not fall to the ground without producing the result that God said it would produce. The only problem can come when the person God gave the idea is not carrying out the idea using God's instructions or the instructions God expects the person to use.
Under divine direction, Pastor Jones understood that he had to tell his congregation about the podcast, Give out free flyers about the podcast, Give out free calendars about the podcasts, Give out free T-Shirts about the podcast, Get the podcast on iTunes not only video sharing sites, Buy ad space on popular websites and also do everything else that the money he currently has can do to get word about the podcast out there.
As Pastor Jones started doing these things as the days went by. Even his kids caught a new fire for the podcast. They never left the house without their T-Shirts about the podcast on. They even had an idea of their own and pooled together their pocket money to make custom bangles and wrist bands about the podcast which they distributed amongst their friends and enemies in school.
In a matter of weeks, the videos started getting as many as 700 views a day. Soon it went to an average of 60, 000 views a day.
Tons and tons of people who were getting blessed by the podcasts started sending in questions upon questions and where seeking advise concerning what they were going through in their daily lives.
The Pastor's family had to try and squeeze in an "Ask Us" segment at the end of the podcast where they answer only two deep and serious questions of people's problems sent to them via e-mail.
They even had to create a telephone hotline team within their church for people who had problems to call and ask for advise.
The congregation started to grow and it was growing at an exponential rate. Soon the church building wasn't big enough to hold them and so they had to have two services on Sunday. More people kept getting blessed by both the sermons in church and the video podcasts so they soon grew to three services every Sunday and they had to start thinking of getting a bigger auditorium.
The average daily viewership of the podcast kept growing incredibly and more people started talking about it online and sharing links of each new video with their various online friends.
The police department issued a report that the crime rate in the city of Living - Spring had dramatically decreased, even the divorce rate dropped to only one person since the Pastor's church started to grow.
At one service, as Pastor Jones preached he almost came to tears but fought them back as he gave his personal testimony about his church's growth.
It was a deeply moving service and everybody was grateful to God for what he had done in the Pastor's life.
After he finished preaching and he walked back to this seat beside his wife's seat, his wife stood up and hugged him. Then she slipped a letter she had just received into his hands. God wasn't through blessing them yet.
Pastor Jones opened the letter to see that the biggest Christian TV channel in the country wanted his 30 minutes video podcast to have 30 minutes airtime everyday on their TV channel and they would also be sending him better equipment, he wouldn't have to pay a dime.
